An Important Message, January 3, 2022

Thank you for your cooperation and patience as we continue to navigate challenges associated with COVID-19.  With cases once again rising due to the Omicron variant, I want to reassure you that conditions are being monitored carefully as we return in the new year.

Please monitor your child for symptoms of the Omicron variant which include the following:

  • Cough
  • Runny Nose
  • Fatigue/Tiredness
  • Congestion

Should your child test positive, notify your school administrator or school nurse.  Although we will not identify close contacts, school Covid-19 trackers will be updated daily.

The new variant seems to have a shorter incubation period and a higher transmissibility; therefore, masks are once again highly encouraged.  Should positive cases trend upward during the next few weeks, the mask requirement may be reinstated either district wide or by specific school.

The primary goal is for schools to remain open five days a week for in-person learning with as few interruptions as possible.  Keep in mind that conditions may change quickly resulting in a shift to temporary virtual learning.

I appreciate your support and encourage you to exercise personal responsibility in the days to come as we work together to combat the spread of COVID-19.
