A Message From Dr. Suzanne Lacey Regarding Virtual School - April 16, 2021

April 16, 2021

Dear  Parents,

With the return of the traditional model of school on March 15, five day instruction will continue for the 2021-2022 academic year.  The expectation moving forward is that every student including current virtual students return for five days of instruction each week.

In 2016, the Talladega County Board of Education adopted a Virtual School Policy that outlines admission criteria for students in grades 9-12.  As we begin to plan for the upcoming school year and the return of all students, this will be the only option for remote learning.  If a student in this grade span meets the established criteria  as set forth by the Board and you are interested in pursuing this option, please submit an application to your local school principal by April 30, 2021 for further consideration and approval.

Your patience and cooperation is greatly appreciated during this year as we adjusted to the COVID-19 pandemic.  The new school year brings a sense of hope and confidence that conditions are favorable for a productive year.

Sincerely,

Suzanne Lacey, Ed.D.

Superintendent
