Mrs. Abby Whisenhunt
Hi, my name is Abby Whisenhunt!
I grew up in the small town of Sand Rock, AL. I graduated from Jacksonville State University in 2019 with my degree in Collaborative Special Education K-6/6-12. I am currently working on my Masters of Special Education K-6 at the University of West Alabama. I began my teaching career in the Oxford City School District. In 2021, my husband Ryan and I celebrated our marriage in Jamaica. My husband is a full-time fireman in Chelsea and part-time firefighter in Pell City. We decided Lincoln would be the perfect location between both of our jobs. I was hired as a resource Special Education Teacher at Lincoln Elementary School for the 2022 school year. I enjoy being a part of the Lincoln community and I am thrilled to be teaching closer to home! I am passionate about my career and I truly love forming relationships with my students. My favorite part of my job is watching the growth and achievements my students make throughout the year. My hobbies include spending time with friends and family, traveling, reading a good book, shopping at TJMaxx, and relaxing on the beach.
I look forward to getting to know you and your child! Please reach out and say hello!
