Born and raised in Childersburg, Alabama, Coach Murphy is excited to be a part of the CHS faculty. This is Mistie Murphy's first year teaching science at Childersburg High School. She has a background in Kinesiology, nutrition, coaching, and fitness. Before becoming a part of the CHS Tigers, she attended Shelton State Community College, The University of Alabama, and nursing school at Central Alabama Community College. Coach Murphy also cheered at Shelton State Community College and The University of Alabama winning three National Championship titles. She is proud to be coaching the CHS Varsity and Middle School cheerleaders this upcoming season! Coach Murphy has two children, Rowynn and Lakelee, who love all things cheerleading and science as well!
