Hello everyone! I am Shernelia Cook Townsend. I was born and raised in Sylacauga, Alabama. I attended B. B. Comer Elementary and Memorial High School. I graduated from Auburn University at Montgomery with my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education and my Master's Degree in Instructional Technology. I earned my Master's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of West Alabama. I am blessed to be married to my husband CJ, and we have a German Shepard named Cooper. This year, I am honored to be teaching fourth-grade math and science. I look forward to my fourth year as a fourth-grade teacher here at Sycamore Elementary School, and I can not wait to teach my students. 

My ultimate goal as a teacher is to create a safe learning environment, teach new things, and encourage everyone to be the best they can be.
