Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Kimberly Murray
I have been a teacher at Munford Schools since 2005. I have taught three years of 4th grade, three years of 5th grade, and Science Resource Teacher for seven years.
Not only do I have a passion for teaching environmental education, I enjoy traveling with my family. I have been married to Robert Murray for 21 years, a 15 year old daughter who attends Munford High School, and a 27 year old step-son who has given me a wonderful daughter-n-law and four amazing grandchildren.
I received my BS from Ohio State University in Wildlife Mgt and a MS from Jacksonville State University in Elementary Education. Both degrees have come in handy as I begin my 14th year teaching at Munford Schools in Talladega County. At Munford Schools, we have a partnership with the forest service that helps us bring conservation education to the students and teachers. With students from Pre-K to 12th grade, we take student learning outdoors at every opportunity, to our outdoor classrooms and into the Talladega National Forest.
I am honored to have been on the Environmenteal Education Association of Alabama board for the last five years and president of the state organization for the 2017/2018 term. We have provided educators with several professional development opportunities across the state, southeast, and country. I am also on the board of the Friends of the Talladega National Forest organization, Choccolocco Creek Watershed Alliance, and on the leadership team of the Southeastern Environmental Education Alliance (SEEA).
I am looking forward to collaborating with our teachers, administrators, and community partners, to ensure Munford Schools is a leader in conservation education.
