Mrs. Nikki Cosper

Born in Mountain Vew, CA, I attended local schools, culminating with a high school diploma from Mountain View High School.  During this time, my teachers generated and fostered a love for science and reading, which I followed when I attended San Jose State University and graduated with a B.A. in Natural Science.  Along the way, I also received an A.A. degree in Liberal Arts at DeAnza Community College.  Simultaneously, I trained horses and competed in Dressage and Jumping.  After graduating college, I met my now-husband Philip Cosper who extolled the virtues of Alabama and together made it my new home.  I was hired as a 4th grade teacher at Knollwood Christian School, and taught there for three years while attending the University of Montevallo for my Masters in Education.  After receiving my Masters, I was hired by Talladega County Schools to teach 6th grade here at Childersburg Middle School.  Since then, CMS has become my home and my family.  I look forward to teaching 7th grade science, Project Lead the Way classes, and STEAM classes this year.  I feel my love of science, as well as my passion for students finding opportunities in STEM related fields will be well utilized this year.  My other interests and hobbies include my horses, reading, teaching yoga, and cooking.
