Mrs. Amanda Lumpkin teaches DE English 101 and 102, 11th Grade ELA, and 9th Grade PreAP ELA, and serves as Advisor to the Lion's Roar Staff. This is her thirteenth year as an educator. She earned a B.S. in Human Science from Auburn University and a M.S. in Secondary English Education at JSU. She is also a proud graduate of Southern Union State Community College, where she was Bison Cheerleader and later coached the SUSCC Cheerleading Team for seven years. Mrs. Lumpkin in in her second year at MHS, 8th in Talladega County. Additionally, she works as a reader for the AP Lang exam through ETS and does consultant work for A+ College Ready facilitating study sessions for AP Lit and AP Lang students across the state. She is married to Coach Jeff Lumpkin. She has two sons and one step-son.
