I am very excited about my new role as STEAM Coach and Teacher!  I am thrilled to be working with and teaching students concepts that I am very passionate about!  I plan to instill the foundations of lifelong learning and equip them for the future through 21st Century skills, including robotics, the engineering design process, coding and computational thinking.

Previously, I was the Library Media Specialist at Lincoln Elementary School for 15 years.  Before holding this position at L.E.S., I taught 2nd and 3rd Grades as well as Kindergarten.  I absolutely loved working in the library where I was able to see children of all grades and ages and have the opportunity to foster a love of READING!

I am also an advocate for the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) Initiative on the school and district levels.  In 2015, I created a fully functional MakerSpace in the library that is open to all students. I have taught students in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math and collaborate with teachers to plan rigorous and engaging lessons to implement in their classrooms.  It is my goal to provide opportunities for all students to participate in endeavors where they can be creative, take risks without the fear of failure, and become independent thinkers.
