Dr. Brandon Gilliland
Dr. Brandon Gilliland (Dr. "G.") is entering his sixteenth year in education, all of which have been spent serving the community of Munford. Dr. Gilliland earned his B.A. in Political Science and History from UAB in 2006, where he specialized in American government and American history. He graduated from the University of West Alabama in 2010 with an M.Ed. in General Social Science Education, with an additional 18 hours of graduate-level history credit. In 2015, Dr. Gilliland graduated with his Doctor of Education degree from Creighton University. His areas of research include school safety and legal issues in education. Dr. "G." has taught a variety of social studies courses at Munford High School, including HY 201 and 202 through a partnership with Jacksonville State University. Dr. "G." also provides assistance to AP U.S. Government and Politics teachers across the state through A+ College Ready and has served in leadership roles for the scoring of AP U.S. Government and Politics exams in Salt Lake City, Utah. He lives on Lake Logan Martin with his wife, Krista, and two young daughters.
