Title VI

The Rural and Low-Income School Program is designed to provide additional funds to rural school districts that serve concentrations of poor students.

Talladega County Schools use Title VI funds for several  purposes. The first is the purchase of STAR360 assessment licensing for use in the district. Another use of the funds is professional development. Teachers are being trained to implement Project-Based Learning, Blended Learning, AMSTI, etc. in their classrooms across the district. Funding is also utilized to upgrade technology in classrooms across the district. Finally, a portion of the funding is used to support the EL (English Learner) program with tutoring and translation services in the district.
